How long has MRG been in business?
MRG has been in business since 1998. MRG opened its Birmingham location in 2004 and Atlanta location in 2006.

What specialties does MRG have experience in billing? Does MRG handle facility billing or hospital based providers?
MRG’s clients range from one doctor pediatric practices to 15 doctor orthopedic groups to MRI facilities to 36 provider anesthesia practices.

MRG can handle both UB-92(facility) and CMS 1500(professional) billing.

What type of billing software do you provide? What are the network requirements?
MRG utilizes and offers its clients use of its hosted software—Centricity by General Electric. The practice must have high speed internet access and PC workstations in order to connect to MRG’s mainframe.

I am interested in an EMR. Does MRG offer EMR services as well?
MRG offers the GE Centricity Electronic Health Record. MRG also has the ability to interface with other EMR packages if the client favors an alternate EHR solution.

Are there large upfront costs like software licensing fees? Are there long term contractual obligations?
There are no upfront costs involved in getting started with MRG. MRG builds licensing costs into its monthly fee. MRG offers a 30 day out clause for its billing service clients.

I am in the market for a new billing system, but would rather handle the billing function in house. Can MRG help?
MRG offers a timeshare arrangement for practices looking for a new billing system without the large upfront cost. MRG offers one of the most state of the art practice management systems available on the market. Your monthly software fee includes system updates, backup and telephone support. You are NOT given a customer number and placed in a queue and in most instances your question is answered when you place your call.

I have several reports I find useful in my current system. Can MRG provide me that same data?
Yes.  MRG’s Centricity platform is Windows based. With the use of Crystal Report Writer, we are able to generate a variety of customized reports and forms. If the data is being entered into Centricity, we can generate a report using that data.

How often does the system go down for maintenance and updates?
All updates and maintenance are completed after hours as well as the daily backup.  Interruptions to your operation are minimal. MRG has redundancies in place from power supply to telecommunications to server equipment.

I am a surgical practice with lots of coding issues? Can MRG assist?
MRG has coders certified by the American Academy of Professional Coders on staff to assist our providers with coding issues and compliance.
